My personal rule for not posting more than one post in a day is just my way of keeping myself well-paced and balanced. I used to have up to five different posting sites (homepage, Blogspot, Multiply, Earth Street Corner, and an anonymous blog). Those were the days when I was job-hunting and bandwidth crazed. There weren’t categories and tags yet, so each site was meant for different theme. The only exception was applied to the homepage, since the posts were mostly about technical site development rather than essay on certain topic.

I’ve retired Multiply and Earth Street Corner a couple years ago, but still maintain Blogspot and my personal homepage, currently version 3.0.

I’ve kept my meatiest posts on Blogspot, but with Wordpress fully functioning on version 3.0, it might be redundant. I don’t know yet, we’ll see. I’ll keep both open for the moment, until I find sound reasoning saying otherwise. The Single Day, Single Post rule now also applies to version 3.0 for the reason that it’s no longer a site development report, but rather a fully functioning blog.

There are no particular needs to associate myself with the clique, other than self-identification with the “geek culture”. I consider myself to be geek because I like science-fiction genre, I read superhero comics, and I use gadgets in daily life. Plus I write version 3.0 among other things. So, that’s enough to qualify me as a card-carrying geek.

I guess geek is an old term, but recently in the 2000s it got its own street cred and cool factor. Nerd is one thing, but geek is certainly another. You can be nerdy, but it you act about it in a such a way, that is difficult to articulate, you can be geeky and that’s cool nowadays.

I have put the </geek!> button on the side widget. There will be more like it, but I haven’t yet figured out what title I’ll use for them.
